For some weird reason, my plus sign for adding bookmarks is gone. When I try to ad a bookmark, it puts it on the end of the list so I have to go to the right arrows on the right side to see it. Anyone have any idea why this may be happening?

I've just installed Windows XP on my late-2010 MBP. I've also installed the drivers via the Mac OS X Installation disc.
After installing the drivers, my trackpad functions started working. For example, right-clicking (i.e., two-finger click) and scrolling (i.e., two-finger drag) work well. This wasn't the case before installing the drivers.
But I am missing one function in Windows that is present in OS X:
In OS X, I would often drag a file from one corner of the screen to the other. I could do this in 2 ways: (1) click-and-hold the file using one-finger, and then, with the same finger, drag the file. However, by this method, I usually am not able to drag the file all the way across in one swoop, so I must let go and try again. Option 2 works better. (2) click-and-hold the file using one-finger, and then, with a second finger, drag the file (while still holding down with the 1st finger). I still get the problem of not being able to drag a file across the screen in one swoop, but in this case, I don't have to let go of the trackpad entirely and restart. I can simply let go of the 2nd finger, and start over (all the while, I never let go of the 1st finger). This method gives me a lot of precision and versatility in dragging files or dragging a selection across long distances.
The problem is that this isn't working in Windows XP (referring to option 2 in the above examples). As soon as I introduce the 2nd finger onto the trackpad, the computer thinks I'm trying to perform a right-click rather than a drag. It's very annoying because I often find myself trying to perform selections of great length, but can't.
Any ideas on how to change this to the OS X style? I went through the Bootcamp Control Panel options (which solved some other problems), but it didn't solve this problem.

when using Safari on my iPad 2, whenever i click on a link middle page down and then hit the back button, instead of going back to the middle part of the page i came from, it goes all the way the top of the web page. this is so annoying. is there a trick to solve this? thanks.

Something similar to this routing using the servers the apps are connecting to should be possible but I didn't find anything in a quick google that would allow it on an app by app basis.

Called it as soon as I read it on the front page. At least 50% of the posts reading 2G as 2GB (most of course with tongue planted firmly in cheek). Still what a waste of bandwidth. Is it really that much harder to type 2nd Gen instead of 2G?

i'm a webdesigner and totally agree with psychometry.
the new textarea feature is the worst way to resolve one of safari worst layout problems. current textarea doesn't show the scrollbars everytime it's necessary and sometimes resizes horizontaly while you're typing, damaging some page layouts.
if the new feature allows users to resize both verticaly and horizontaly it's probably a bad sollution apple found to the scroll problem.
if you don't design pages you may not understand, but sometimes its necessary to fix a size to a textarea and other components (height and width), otherwise it will push other elements and images would look like a puzzle. fixing size is one of the solutions to make pages working in different browsers, once each one show form elements diffrently.
even if the resize feature doesn't push other elements, override them would be terrible as well. if you have links and other text fields for example, how would it behave if you use tab key to swich field in a form?
Just tried the *similar* feature in OmniWeb's browser it's not even half as bad as you guys are making it out to be... don't be a whine-o :D
Oh yah and by the way, I design websites. From my experience with people, it's better for them to have a good user experience on a site and the text area thing WILL help out. I believe that the text area expansion will only be temporary, and when the page is refreshed the design will look as good as it always was.

How can you pre-order if the 2GB shuffle is not even on Apple's website?
Hey, the first time saw 5G iPod, I thought, why are they talking about a 5 gig iPods, when the current iPod is 30 and 60 gigs...
We all make that mistake when we first see that terminology...
Tell me you didn't...

I'm not sure why people are all out of sorts with this increase. Basically it seems people are mad that it will cost them more to end a contract early? Is upgrading before the end of two years really that important?
Maybe I'm just odd, but two years with a product really isn't all that long.

Some months ago I posted asking if any one knew what the real ending to DOOM32x was, and some others wanted to know as well. A person on another site found the ending on YouTube. Here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNGEQwSN6zU)

...Some games I would like to see now that we are seeing stuff like this pop up in the app store:
...Gauntlet
Pitfall
Defender
...Star Wars (wire frame version)
:D
I also would LOVE these games!
Add 'Paper Boy', 'Crystal Castles', and '720' I would be a happy camper.

Dang! That is true.
Thinking it out:
Stick = Up/Down
Bottom Red = Reverse
Right-Botton Black = Thrust
Right-Top Black = Fire
Top White = Smart Bomb
Bottom White = Hyperspace
On Stargate you could assign one of the others to the Stealth mode button too.
They NEED 2 versions of iCade - one with joystick, the other with a Trackball and Knob... ;)

Out of curiosity, do you visit Fark much?
Anyway, I can't understand why the high level of piracy (with movies) when Netfilx and Blockbuster Online exist (although you could just copy the movie from there).

It's amazing what you can find with a search (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=37092&highlight=user+titles) of the forums.
And equaling amazing is when some of us do a search and find the same thing you pointed out, but things don't add up.
If you noticed the counts seemed to be based on the 5's and 500's. So by the thread you so conveniently linked too, you and I are behind the numbers mentioned.
This will be come mute when we can contribute to be "demi-god" or what ever.
Hopefully it won't matter for both of us when we can but our money where our typing is. :D
