The team who are overtaking us are really strong, most likely dropouts from the big teams. Not much we can do about it. Bigadv is still where the big PPD are, especially now with the 6 cores Xeon, very fast for one CPU packages.

Trying to get my hands on a White 32GB WIFI model.
Not sure what color smart cover I want though.

It would be useful (this is not addressed just to you, Amigo) if instead of just listing a bunch of programs you gave a quick description of what each program does, like AL did in his original post. Links would be helpful, as well.

Bingo.
Apple will come to its senses and launch this as a free service. If not in this iteration, perhaps the next. :)
I can see them giving it for free with the purchase of their hardware (like find my iPhone is free with the latest iteration of iOS devices) Apple after all is a hardware company.
Giving something that costs billions in servers and man hours for free to everyone doesn't make much sense to me.

Some how I don't think you'll get one in here at that price. Head over to the Apple Store and check out the refurbs that went on sale today- you'll save $100 over a new one.

randy, are you concluding this is false advertising?
No, the post I responded to talked about false advertising. I'm concluding two things:
1) Just because something isn't criminal doesn't mean it isn't illegal.
2) You don't necessarily need a grand jury to bring a criminal charge.
These conclusions have nothing to do with the ebay listing. The poster I responded to said something about a grand jury and false advertising.
Edit: As an "armchair lawyer," I would probably just sue for restitution. For the other armchair lawyers: Yes, restitution is a cause of action.

Thanks zen.state. I'll look it up once the blasted screen turns up!
This thread http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1127873 is asking about drive sizes for PPC machines but the thread on the apple site pointed to doesn't seem to answer the question definitively - at least to me but I'm kinda new.
what is the max drive size for a PPC with with a ATA controller in one of the PCI slots?

Let the battle commence!
Well you know, everyones got to do a little bit of kissing up now and then  ;) :D
Well at least you didn't do one of those tacky pics. :D
Honestly I would have been flattered if asked. But like LBJ, if nominated I would not run, if elected I would not serve (at least at this point). For as evident by my posts over the past few days, my new job and new outlook as to what I find important has changed. In the end I think that active members like myself also serve a purpose, as much as those that are in a mod status.
I am glad that we have a couple EU members as mods in some degree.

Apple should just roll their own.
They have the power, the talent, the size, and certainly the scale, to go their own way with an excellent chance of success.
The more things they do in-house, the better. It'll only enhance the Apple ecosystem and grow it.
Is this always the best approach? Unless Apple intends to invent something beyond the wheel, why just invent the wheel all over again? The duplication of effort doesnt sound very cost effective. And for good or ill, we do operate in a Neo-Liberal economy where its most cost effective to source services and products from others. All the same I can understand the Google thing, but I dont think the articles distance itself from Google language is the best choice of words. Reduce dependency on Google would be more accurate. Anyway, I would have to think that Apples plan is to move beyond the wheel. I wonder what that will look like?

Is anyone here arguing that the way someone dresses does or should have a legal consequence in a rape situation? I haven't read every post, so perhaps someone is. Is treatment under the law the only aspect of this being discussed in this thread?
If politicians who are legislators are blaming the way women dress as a causal factor in rape cases, then legal consequences are the primary thing we are talking about here. Certain politicians' conviction that "immodest" or "revealing" dress leads to rape could have all sorts of terrifying legal consequences for women.
Back on the first page CaoCao attempted to deny that there was any connection between Muslim modesty and Christian modesty in dress. I think he actually demonstrated that they are fundamentally the same, differing only in minor degrees.

safari needs a little work on it. Right now I prefer Firefox because of the tabbed window function and even more so because i can add search engines within the same window, such as google, yahoo, amazon, ebay, IMDB and webster dictionary.
the ease of use, and the fact that my Yahoo Toolbar makes it easy to share my very same bookmarks among several computers.

How many people here would change their mind if the white one was released with upgraded specs (A5 chip)? I'll probably end up getting one for my wife because she's wanted one since launch.
