Go and check how many EB3 India and EB2 India applications approved each year. They are approving double or triple the number of EB3 applications than they approve EB2. Go back to past and ask people not to apply in EB3, then only it solves your problem.
Its all because of toooooooooo many EB3 india applications in past. So, live with that fact.

IV has to priorotize before going to a lobbyist, with very very few contributions made, its very difficult to have everything bundled into a single request.
Its also unfair that L1 has to work for specific company but L1 spouces can work for any company any job, its so funny, when you think H1 has to work for specfic company and only for specfic job, but spouces can work for any compnay any job any salary without any labor department intervention
Immmigration awareness has increased a lot among US voters, when it comes to threat of their jobs being lost, and democratic senators are very much aware of it, hence CIR is no longer their priority.
I am not fighting but YES, my reason to join IV was to find justice to the H-4 not being able to work when L-1 spouses and Agjob spouses (I read this a year ago) could. Although no promises were made from IV, I was surpired today since nothing was ever said regarding no interest in the H-4 cause when many discussion were in place. Here people contribute for their own benefits, I was here for the H-4s, that is why I transcribed part of the conference calls too, so I was somehow a contributer to a cause that doesn't represnt my interests, but I know it represents the interests of the unmarried folks, or married to IT spouses folks.

It is very difficult to get a bill passed in House for increasing visa numbers. Be it legal or illegal there is no way House will pass anything that increases visa numbers this election year. I am doubtful even for next year.
For this year or for now we should just get something like "ability to file 485 even when visa numbers are unavailable". This is something which will provide some relief to all of us and has good chance of going through. Subsequently we can keep trying to get the SKIL bill passed next year.
Absolutely. Now with PERM and premium 140, if we can file 485, and then hit the snooze button for 10 years -- no problem for me. I know, not everyone will be lucky to board onto the PERM, but atleast it will be relief for most of us.

I applaud you for starting this effort but the petition needs correction, You are calling Lou Dobbs of lying but all the instances you quote are from Sen Tancredo . You may accuse Lou Dobbs of supporting these lies by letting them stand unchallenged not correcting them.

I had been to Chennai recently two weeks back and absolutely had no problem in getting visa stamping renewal after 3 years of expiry.
I received my passport from VFS office directly the next day but not the same day. I do not know the delay was common now a days. However one of my friends receieved the passport the same day evening from VFS after attending interview at Mumabi consulate. Jut FYI for all.

Guys we have called all theree sets of lawmakers. Some senior member was saying we need to lobby hard with Republican's. Please let us know how we can do that. It is better to do it in an organized manner, so if some one can filter the three list on republicans we need to call again or if they can post a list of new republicans that we need to call. Please guide us.

Such events cost money. If we have enough contributions, we can spend as per our budget of nearly $ 50,000. If not, we will have to cut back on the event spending and reduce the magnitude and size of the event.
If you are not coming to DC next week, please do your part and contribute funds to Immigration Voice. It not only finances the event properly, it instills pride and confidence in the members who will be there in DC that there are thousands of willing supporters behind them who could not be there physically but are 100% with them in their determination and resolve.

Hi I've been a NC victim for almost 3 years. I have heard all kinds of speculations on the real reason behind USCIS/FBI decision,like the amount of the tax you pay, your political view, your education level,etc. all influence the result. Could that be true or it's just purely a bureaucratic backlog? Something interesting to think about I guess.

If USCIS is approving H1B/L1 applications, for any Software job, with a B.Com or B.A degree, then defenitely, it's a high time for it to change the rules for the H1B educational qualifications. I don't mind to port to EB1, if its accepting online degress, by getting a Ph.d deegree from a tri valley online university :D.

With ICICI it was extremely easy to open a loan,they even opened the office on a Sunday to get it done.
But they are making it extremely hard to close the loan.
Couple of times they send us letters asking us to do outstanding payments when there were no outstanding payments. Then we went to the branch and sorted out and manager gave a letter confirming everything was clear.After an year we get another letter regarding the same payment and again we went to the bank and bank manager apologized when we told we are going to file a case.
Also we saw few other customers there with the same issue while waiting.
Now we trying to close the full loan by paying off everything but the bank says if we pay in advance there is a big penalty.
These guys are too much.
Iam not sure if this is a proboem with their system or if it is a malpractice, but I would sacrifice service for honesty.

Sure i can and i did $200. More follows at the first sight of some hope after the recess. Nonetheless, Core Team please keep up the rock solid motivation and spirit to get us through this ordeal
For the record, this is my 9th yr in US and about to file for my 4th EAD. With July 02 PD in EB3 .. not sure what and when to expect. You bet i am from retrogressed country.
I can only hope this team do not loose their spirit with any setbacks.

I got back through JFK. Had Valid H1 and AP. Unfortunately (kicking myself) , my EAD was insidethe passport too. IO saw it n said you'll need to use AP and took us to interview room, no questions asked, but took another 25 minutes. Now am Parolled... and I94 says Parolled until .....
Moral of the story : If you have valid H1 stamped , keep the AP tucked away. Can't argue with the ignorant mo fo s at the counter..
