Is there a Risk?

I'm working in Company 'A'. My company is filing for H1 extension for me along with my wife's H4 Extension in the month of April (before that it is not possible it seems - according to lawyer or Imm. dept of company 'A')

Company 'B' is filing H1 visa for my wife on April 1st.

So my question is: Is there a RISK to file 2 separate petitions (H4 Extension and H1) in the same time frame?

If yes, what's the option?

If no, should I say to my employer or lawyer (Company 'A') to not to file H4 extension for my wife because of the overlap of time frames?

I have worked in my organization for over one year in the US and abrod in the subsidiary for one year. My organization is trying to apply for L-1A (managerial category) visa for me to come back to US again.

How easy is to obtain L-1A through immigration lawyers?

What forms do I need to submit for applying this visa

Our company attorney does not provide complete information, therefore I would appreciate your help on the above.

Additionally, you can contact your friends in other companies who may have used L1-A visa.

Some more information on this....I just spoke to another CSR @ NSC and asked her about Extended review....she mentioned that it is a normal process and that they have various agencies involved and that they r waiting for response ...did'nt mention what the agencies are or what is it that they r waiting on....also I asked her if I should take and INFOPASS appointment to find out more....she said that would'nt be of any help cause they will also not be willing to tell me more.....

She said wait for about 90 days and if you still don't here from us ..give us a call and we can then take it from there....

I guess I am going to stop worrying and expecting any results soon...lets just wait and see....

will keep u guys posted...

140 processing has got nothing to do with your country of origin. Country of origin is used for quotas in AOS/485

In that i applied my I485 in July 2, 2007. AS i'm from bangladesh...when can i expect my AP, EAD and the I-485

Currently there are a lot of RFE's and renewal denials when they try to renew onsite. So they have been asked to go back to get renewed and once its successful, they come back. They are just being cautious.

Rest all states should pass similiar law............

Is it for the strategy of getting all our members to take this law seriously when they are stopped by the cops and asked for papers? Unless something personally affects our members we are content in letting things happen around us........so if such laws were passed in many other states, it would definitely jolt us to action!!!!!!

I think you can safely sponser visitors visa while you are on H1B. What do you mean by working at clients place? is that place listed on your H1B application. Many times Attorney list any other state as required. I remember my attorney doing this. But still, I don't think it should matter, at the same time, I am not an attorney.

well queen my long lost thought you were gone forever to never come back friend. I am not to familiar with the nikon lenses i would imaging the logical side would be to cover as many focal lengths as possible and that would be covered by the 18-55 and the 55-200mm lenses. however im not sure if the 18-135 lens offers supperior glass or not. If it does i would say that would be the one you go with. anyway it sure is nice to see you on here queen i must say i missed ya.

am in my 8th year H1 due to expire in april...with an approved 140.(not a june 07 filer..no EAD)

My company is merging and i may get the axe..i have tried all tricks...but my exit is imminent..;(..well that's life.


I was about to file for my H1 extension... and now i may not be able to do that.

My spouse is on H1(Dec 2010) and we are expecting in april..and she thus cant travel.

I don't want to change to H4...(if i return i may switch to CP..hence i dont want to change to H4 and lose the GC process)

so can anyone please tell me,

a.) after my H1 expires in april, can i stay for a month or so and then leave the country?..will i be in any trouble at the port of exit.. i need time to pack and ship..hence the delay...


...Should i seek a legal advice???

... i just want to know.. if i can approach the USCIS and explain and get some kind of extension..

..do you know anyone who has been in a similar situation..

what are my options.. any advice will be appreciated...

Here in my city (Piracicaba - S�o Paulo/Brazil) there is a river (Piracicaba�s River) that crosses the center of the city.

I was driving near when i saw something not commom, a man fishing and giving the fishes to this "gar�as" (i don�t know the name of this bird in english). There was more or less 8 to 10 gar�as waiting the fish.

As soon I got the receipt number, I started working for Company B. Now I have paystubs for almost 8 months. With those pay stubs, can i transfer to company C? If Company C files for a H1 transfer, with which H1B receipt will he file for transfer-H1B approval copy of employer A or H1B receipt of employer B? My attorney feels that my H1 transfer petition with Company B has got stuck in a security/background check, since USCIS has not responded to 2 SR's placed by my attorney and added that PP will not help if my petition got stuck in security check.
