Does anyone here remember all the doom and gloom when Avie Tevanian left in 2006? People were saying it was the end of Mac OS X.

Thanks to all the previous help, I've been overly successful. The last app went over so big that the suits have asked for more.

You are missing it arn't you. When people do a graph to compare smart phone OSs they do not take the graph and account tablets, MP3 players or tvs they only count the items that are sold as phones.
I often do see apple users making comparisons to android such as "Androids have worst battery life." which is a broad comparison to it. It is also not true. The Atrix now holds the title as the longest lasting smart phone OS.
Or you have the case where people like you try to tout the Andriod OS as superior but in reality it is a disaster. I use several models of Andriod phones at work, for testing purposes, and each time I pick one up I want to throw it against the wall. I get really irritated with the cumbersome user interface plus the battery life is horrible. I end up having to leave the Andriod phone plugged in to the wall charger if I use for a few hours. We also have iPhones, and Windows 7 phones at work that we use for testing. Which do you think people perfer using at work. Let me give you a hint, it starts with an A but its second letter is not n.

Two GT120s will be able to drive up to four displays (2xDVI and 2xmDP). eBay (http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=NVIDIA+GT120&_sacat=See-All-Categories) is the best source for GT120s at the moment, they go for around 100 bucks.

As someone is sure to have said already, maybe this just means they won't be making the screen any bigger, and will just be using the same panel. Maybe all of these "edge to edge" screen rumors just mean that the phone will actually shrink in width or height?

I'm on the 450 minute plan, and I have 1770 roll over minutes. I've stuck w/the 450 plan, mostly cus almost everyone I call is on AT&T (I switched from Verizon, and saved a boatload, since it's just me on the plan). In the 4 years I've been with AT&T, I've only ever gone into my roll over minutes *twice*. They always end up expiring on me.
Text messaging & the (grandfathered unlimited) data plan are far more valuable to me.

While I'd love to see more Mac related articles, it's not like MR is holding them back. The site has always been about Apple and Apple news. Apple has more than one product line now.
I know...but this place is called Mac Rumors...not Apple Rumors...and not Mac (and other stuff) Rumors. The site states "MacRumors.com is a website focused on Apple news and rumors. " but I would agree with a lot of other people that so much of this news is 8 degrees from truly Apple news. Firefox news? Come on. Lines forming at select Apple stores? Sheeez. Don't litter this site with QUANTITY...fill it with QUALITY.

Or we could compare smartphone models where the iPhone models would win again or we could compare actual smartphone brands which would again have Apple beating android brands.
If you want to compare iOS to Android then you have to include iPod Touches and iPads. They all run iOS and can basically run the same set of iPhone/iPod Touch or universal apps. It is not Apple's problem that almost nobody is making a non-phone android device in the same form factor as the iPod Touch. It is also not Apple's problem that Android tablets have been a flop.
If you are developer on iOS, you can target iPhones, iPod Touches and iPads with the same app if you choose so they can be consider one platform as far as universal apps are concerned.
