I am in KS and looking for information to apply to renew our EADs. Can anyone please give me some idea what where I can get an application forms? Is paper application better or online?

It is currently taking a long time to adjudicate MTR's ( for some more than a year or so ) . I would say file a MTR and also file a new perm labor . I suggest going with EB3 rather than EB2 since rules for EB2 are now more stricter than before along with more scrutiny and RFE's. But its your own choice.
I think the new labor would get approved before you get a response for your MTR. If they clear the original labor well and good or else you would at least have the new one .

I am planning to change jobs using the EAD / AC-21 in the next couple of months. To start off the process I wanted to get all the approval notices from the lawyer so that I have all the documents in place before I change jobs.
My employer uses a popular law firm to handle the immigration filing etc. I sent an email to the lawyer asking them to send me a copy of the I-140 approval notice.The lawyer responded that according to my company's internal policy they will not provide me a copy of the I-140 approval notice.
I would like to know the following -
1) Has someone else also faced a similar issue ?
2) If so , is there a way to get them to send me a copy of th 140 approval notice
3) Does the employer by law have the authority to restrict the distribution of the 140 approval notice
4) Do I need the 140 approval notice in order to use EAD/AC-21 to change jobs ?

Mine is a similar case but the only unfortunate thing was that my H1-B is approved and effective from October 1st. My position was terminated in July and now I want to continue my OPT (expires in Jan 2010 if nothing is done). Now another company is ready to give me offer and file H1B.
1. Is it possible to update the SEVIS record by DSO b4 October 1st so that I can that I can buy some time in the transition. Note: I did not violate my 90 day unemployment period during OPT.
2. If it is not possible to go back to my OPT, how much time I have after October 1st before I apply for the another H1 from the new company? and when I can start working in this case?

Good luck with that. It didn't work for me either. The Doctor's office did not even accept my insurance in the first place evn though they were in my network, I don't know why but they gave some weird excuse. I was in no mood to argue and was eager to get the medicals done so I just paid up hoping to get it reimbursed but did not see a penny from the insurance co.
did anyone get reimbursed for the medical exams - physicals and vaccinations?

Hi,
My wife's I-485 got a REF and I have received the alert. I have not received the actual document. When we went for medical exam in 2006, she was pregnant and one of the vaccine was not given. I am expecting the REF would ask for the remaining tests.
Right now my family is in Hyderabad, India. Is there any provision in Hyderabad to complete medical exam ? or I need to bring them back to US ?

Seems like NVARS has introduced a new process which is supposed to be more streamlined for getting appointment online but I am not sure of some of it's verbage.
We want to ensure that applicants already in the scheduling process are not negatively impacted by the change. In order to ensure you receive the visa services you have paid for, please review the guidance below regarding transition timetables.
* Applicants who have already scheduled an appointment at a U.S. consulate on or after September 1, 2010 through NVARS:
If you have already scheduled to attend an appointment through NVARS, please pay your MRV fee prior to September 1, 2010 and bring your Scotiabank receipt with you to your appointment. If you have not already scheduled an appointment, we recommend that you wait until September 1, 2010 or later to pay the MRV fee and register through the new service.
I highlighted the text in bold. My appointment is scheduled for Vancouver on Sept 8. What does this mean to me? Will I need to be physically in Canada prior to September 1, to be able to go to a Scotia bank and make payment there? This is insane. I still haven't gotten my canadian visa stamped on my passport so I can enter Canada.

However I did not get any FP notice yet! Do you know if Biometrics is a requirement for issuing the physical green card and also any idea how long it takes to get the card from this point of time.
following is the current status in the online status of my 485:

On October 26, 2010, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.
For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. Why is VSC processing so slow..anybody in the same shoes waiting for processing from Vermont. There was a time a normal H1 processing was done in 2 months. Now I've heard it is taking upto 8 months...oh god!
