Brand new user to the forum..
Switching from T-mobile to ATT for the 3G! Little disappointed in the pricing they have, but i am in desperate need of a new phone and carrier, so i said why not!
SHV normal hours on a friday is 10am-930pm..
anyone know if they are changing? anyone been there for last iphone release?

This keynote was a huge letdown for me. Sure I think the iPhone looks amazing and it has me considering a switch to Cingular to get one.
When I saw that the keynote was going to be 2 hours this time, I was super stoked. I just knew it was going to be jam-packed with new products, speed bumps on the computer lines, demos of leopard and iLife, etc. he spent 2 WHOLE HOURS talking about 2 products. I simply can't believe that. I know Steve wants to pimp out the iPhone as much as possible, but come on. Where was the "one more thing", etc? Sure there were really 3 things with the airport basestation being thrown in there without an announcement, but NOTHING that was discussed is available for immediate shipping.
I've been anticipating this for months since the announcement of quad core processors in hopes of getting an 8 core Mac Pro on order today. I've been saving up and keeping my credit clear just for that purchase and I've been extremely disappointed.
My only hope now is that since the quad cores are being released this week that they'll do a refresh soon down the line.

It's pretty darn sexy. I'm loving it so far!!
But....is there really no way to lock portrait viewing so it doesn't go into landscape mode every time you turn it? If so...boo!!

I tried it several months ago and found it to be extremely buggy to the point that it pretty much didn't work. However the idea behind the app is exactly what I am looking for.
Has anyone used it lately with any success?
I can't wait for this app to be ready for primetime. I will be able to shut my android buddies up with their "tasker" bs...........

First opening of Flipboard after the recent update to the app displays an iOS popup "Warning. Your iPad appears to be jailbroken. This may cause bugs, crashes or other unpredictable behavior."
I just thought that was interesting as I've never seen such a message before or even knew that an app could detect a jailbreak. What's to keep apple from detecting this with one of their apps and voiding my warranty?

I would restore it, jailbreak with greenpoison, download the firmware you are using from http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/ to use in redsnow and just install cydia only.

Looks nice, but I already have my own mail server (Exchange 2003) and it works perfectly, with Outlook Web Access and ActiveSync to my Windows Mobile smartphone. :)

Here is a simple question. What type of business are you?
If you're an accountant firm, using SAGE - then Windows is the best solution for your business. If you're a graphic design firm, Mac would be the best choice for your business - but windows would also work in the design sector.
The question of "what is better than what" is irrelevant, its more about "what do you need out of your IT?"
You also have to consider your training needs, if you suddenly shift everyone from PC to Mac or Visa Versa.
You also have to consider who provides your IT Support? Do you have internal IT staff? Do you outsource?
You may one to get in a Neutral PC and Mac consultant (who is not going to try sell you things you dont need) to come in do a proper survey.
