my lawyer missed the 2nd july deadline even when he had all the papers. Now i am asking him to meet 30th july deadline he is not responding . what are the papers needed to file I485. Can I file it without lawyers help? He does have my immunization papers

As long as 2003/2004/2005 folks who have already-filed stay in low numbers it might indicate good PD movement in those years (since numbers wont be used up so soon and USCIS/DOS might have to move dates forward to start pushing out approvals. New people will then file and the usage will climb and dates slow down again).
If, on the other hand USCIS is sitting on tons of 2003/2004 PD I-485s, then date movement is going to be slow

I have posted the same issue in another thread but i did not get any response So I'm changing the title and reposting.
I have been working for my current employer from last 4 years.I have good relations with my employer.I have 140 approved and my 485 is pending for more than 180 days.Now I want to join any new employer using my EAD.But I don't want to invoke AC 21.If my dates are current again and if i get any RFE I will submit the offer letter from my old employer.
My case is I'm using EAD after 140 is approved and 485 is pending more than 180 days and joining a new employer.As GC is future employment I can always say that I will join my old employer when ever i get a GC.This way I can avoid AC 21. Also If my employer doesn't give me the offer letter I can still manage to get it from any Consulting firm with same job title and same salary.
Can any one suggest me on this?

I am in kind of same situation. What happened to your case? My new employer file my H1 extension and renewal after my VISA expiration. They need valid I-94 for I-9 verification.

Lately, USCIS has started looking into H1B transfers more carefully and giving applicants tough time approving it with all kinds of RFE, read through the forum for others experience, keep that in mind before making your move...I am not trying to scare you though, its just a pointer to whats going on currently.

I don't agree with what mbawa2574 has to say,but I certainly disagree banning mbawa for expressing views. I think, mbawa2574 is well within limits of posting anything that could hurt IV image/goals. ( On this thread, I mean).
What's the damage caused to your effort?( apart from deleting threads )
I'd rather help channel his thoughts and energies in a direction that helps IV than ban him.

I'm sure you understand by now that IV is made of just you, me and bunch of other anonymous keyboard monkeys.

IV website is for a single purpose of achieving the goals we have set for the organization. You can find our goals on the website. And anything that conflicts with our goal will be removed. Its easy to use terms like democracy, freedom of expression etc to defend actions that malign the good effort put in by others. What is the difference between L1B and H1B? Why don't companies hire on L1B when H1B's are over? Thanks.
L1B is comany transfer, for L1B company need to have good revenue for sponsoring L1b and L1b holder must work on the it�s country for minimum of year. Now a days there is restrictions like only computer back ground people need to apply for L1 ( BE/B.Tech in CSE,EEE,ECE) on this because companies are misusing it for no annual cab.
Since it is company transfer H1B is not eligible for L1B ( you have to work in the company home country for 1 year to be eligible) but L1B is eligible for H1b. But many of the Indian companies are not sponsoring green cards for L1A and L1b of then do then they will also face retrogression.

H1 renewal i can understand but you need not apply for h4 renewal if your wife is working on EAD. Because if she wants to come back on h4, she always can and does not need h4 to be renewed now.
did you check with your attorney, if she absolutely has to do h4 renewal.

I am planning a family trip to Mexico for few days and would like to get some suggestion or personal experience on how to re-enter to United States. Here is my situation:
Wife has a valid H4 stamp in her passport which is good for another year. We also applied for travel document after we filed for I-485 but she has never used that travel document. Now the question is what do we use for her, H4 or travel doc, when we re-enter US from Mexico? I can't think of any reason why she shouldn't be able to use her H4 to re-enter but the fact that she also has a travel document, will the officer require her to use travel doc and enter and parole. In that case, does she lose her H4 status and just become a parole or should she not even show the travel doc and just the H4.
Any help will be very much appreciated.

We talked to the DOL people. They said that since my wife didnt start working with them on H1 and never really worked with them we dont have a basis for claiming the 1500 dollars in filing fees.
