Did anyone travel to India, by landing at Delhi Intl airport, and then proceeding to other destination city through a domestic airline?
Never been to Delhi, and I have no idea how Intl and domestic travel works in tandem...

Almost every time landed @ delhi and then got to a domestic flight (@ Indore - lot of times)
It all depends on your international arrival and next connection to domestic city (how long is lay over?) You can get a good connection from New york to mumbai to indore with airline A due to its flight schedule but you might not get the same ''good connection'' with airline B as it just has a different schedule.
So it depends on the following
-From where you fly
-When you reach
-When is the first avaiable domestic flight
-how much is the total cost

Does that mean we are no more after the goal of I-485 provision (attached to appropriation bills in Feb) due to lack of contributions? There has been several posts even in other forums saying that IV has dropped this goal, and I tried quite a few times now to get some form of confirmation/denial from any of the core members, but without any luck yet. Also logiclife's announcement was removed from the home page!!

Hi Guys,
My previous employer has withheld my salary without any reaon..even though i gave app notice, abided with policies and had no bond or anything.
He is not paying my final paycheck since quite a few months and when i call earlier he used to say he will pay but now started like dont call me i will give when i have time......
If i complain to DOL wether i have to fill WH4 or state DOL wahe and Hour form...and would this processs has any effect on GC processing when i start or any repuircussions...as for proof of non payment of salary i have all timesshetss, refernce letters and His mails also

The whole non-compete agreement is a cruel joke on the employee who finds his own project. All these incapable bad desi employers ban the employee from joining the client whom the employee got them in the first place.
I know a friend of mine works for an employer, he found his own project through a vendor, now because of non-compete agreement he cannot join the client, nor the vendor and now the employer and vendors are buddies and thinking of other business opportunities. In all this the employee is the loser while it was he who brought the employer and vendor together into minting more money at his expense.
This is especially true of smaller companies. Big companies at least have real end clients and find projects. With smaller companies, employee finds projects, helps build client list for his company, gets paid less than market rate, etc.
If the GC process were smoother, a lot of such employers would shut down. Their business model is helped by the immigration mess....

I file pwd around the end of Feb this year. It's still pending. Anyone else is having the same issue? What can I do for this? Ask for tracking number from lawyer and call DOL? Please advise.

Once you complete the e-filing, the online system will generate a PDF which has the instructions on how/whom to send the documents. You also need to attach a copy of the PDF while sending the docs.
I sent the docs thru USPS, with delivery confirmation.
Yeah, after the e-filing is completed, you will get the receipt number, using which you can track your petition online.

to the one who left the comment 'pos'..its not, i am just stating a fact, i have been in EB3 with a pd of mid 2002 and have been studying this mess for a long time now. I did not reply to the OP's next question because meridiani.planum had already posted a reply
I would suggest trying for EB2 if possible. Due to the recent change in the visa allocation from vertical to horizontal most of the countries in EB 3 will be affected and movement will be slow. I dont know the number of applicants from Russia but dont expect any additional visa due to spillover. We have an applicant from Russia in our company, he applied in Eb2 and received his GC in 2 and a half years. Most of the EB3s are still rotting waiting for 4-6yrs.

My H1 and family's H4 non-premium extensions were applied on 10/12/07 and approved from Vermont last week on 1/10/08. Approvals not yet physically received. These extensions were on the basis of approved I-140 and retrogressed EB-3 PD.

EAD has nothing to do with status. He is in legal status as long as his I-485 is filed and waiting to be decided by USCIS, even if his non immigrant visa expired. EAD is work permit and he can't work based on EAD filing but only on approved ead.

1- Approximate PERM processing times (from filing time) for EB2
The time it takes to file your paper work depends on the lawyer and company.
The time it takes for approval varies too between Atlanta and Chicago. Last I heard, it was around 6 months.
2- Approximate I-485 and I-140 processing times from filing date for EB2
For I-140 see this link - https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/ptimes.jsp
For I-485 see current visa bulletin - http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bulletin_1360.html
3- Approximate length of the entire process (from filing PERM to getting I-485 approved) for EB2
There is no set time from stat to finish. It depends on many variables, employer, lawyer, country of origin, nut jobs at CIS etc.
If you are lucky, and not from China, India, Mexico & Philippines, in EB2 it could take around 3- 4 years.
If you are unlucky, or if you are from China, India, Mexico & Philippines, in EB2 it could take anywhere between 5-10 years.
So the answer is, it depends.
4- Are I-140 and I-485 still being filed concurrently?
Yes, if your priority dates for filing I-485 are current as per the current visa bulletin, which is very unlikely. Although, I-140 premium process has not yet re-started.

Best bet would be get EB3140 approved and then try to find a EB2 qualified Job and willing employer. Remember not all Jobs qualify for EB2! DOL and USCIS know the minimum job requirements for almost every position they receive PERM/I140 application. The more employer/attorney's try to apply for EB2 the more audits DOL/USCIS will follow.:(

based on my knowledge you could file I-824 (correction to make adjustment of status to CP or viceversa) or you could file for new I-140 opting for Consular processing. You don't have to work till the end of the GC process in US. If the employer is willing to sponsor you GC and upon approval offer you the job described in GC petition(ie at US) then you should be fine. Hence if you employer is ok with that you could move to Canada without any issues and your GC im US will still be ok. AOS(Adjustment of Status) is only possible if you are staying within US and hence if you move to Canada you can't do AOS.

We have had an unprecedented number of applications filed in the last few months. Our efforts to enter these applications into our systems have caused a delay in the transfer of information from our case control system to the Case Status Online system. We are seeing delays of up to three to four weeks between receipting of your application and its status being available online. We are reviewing solutions to resolve the situation as soon as possible
So it's possible your case hasn't been inputted yet.
My situation is ok. It was my error in putting in wrong receipt number..i'm ok with 4 receipt numbers, 4 cases ap/ead/140/485. It's in god's hands as to RFE or rejection though that would be a pain for uscis to cash all 4 checks then to reject/refund.
