Hi,
Can someone please tell me the entire process involved to bring parents to U.S as Visitors.I know few things but am very confused about the documents we need to send and needed application forms .
I went through vfs site for required documentation (I know we should book the interview date through vfs-usa site.)
They mentioned DS-156 and I-134 forms. where to get these forms from?
What are the documents that should be sent from U.S
What about the financial support proof. Should we show specific amount as proof of support for each person visiting?
Please Advise.

Does anyone know what time it may take for FP notices to arrive for guys whose cases were Xfered to CSC?
BTW, does that make any difference if the 485 case has been transferred from another center to TSC? majority of guys who've got the FP notice are straight filters at TSC.

If your company is financially strong and can prove that they can pay your salary, then you will not have any problem. If your company is small and have only couple of consultants working and the earnings are less then you might have issues.
correct. Ability-to-pay is one of the 2 major causes of I-140 denials (education qualification typically being the other where you have a 3 year degree and your LC said 4).
If your employer is in good financial state you should be ok, if not, you might get a denial., so start preparing right now. Stay on H1, dont use EAD, just to be on the safe side... If you get a denial appeal immediately, and start another LC from another employer. Hope htat your appeal goes through (many people have successfully appeal ability-to-pay based denials)

I think in your second case (cpy B), you can apply for PP. As long as your first app does not impact ability to apply, you should be eligible. Check with your lawyer.

My attorney applied for me. I am not sure what needs to be done if you want to apply yourself. AP will be valid for 1 yr and requires renewal every yr.

Now that most of the cases that have LUD on their I-140 got or getting approvals, I want to track how many of you guys have an LUD on 07/13/2008. If you have any other LUD on your I-140, please post them.
Besides LUD on my approved I-140 on 7/13/08 (approved in 2/06), there were LUDS on H1B(approved 3/03, extended 9/05) on 6/28/08 and LUDs on I-485 (filed on 07/02/07) dt 5/23, 6/18, 6/25/08. Anybody seen recent LUDs on I-140+I485+I-129 BTW my pd is 10/05, EB2i Still waiting for magic mail. May lady luck smile on us.

I work in Health Insurance domain so if you need help in understanding the technical terms, may be I can help.
Kaiser Permanente mght be a good option if you are buying at individual level. I am not sure if they provide services in TN but if they do, then I would go for it. It is a HMO plan but KP hospitals provide reasonably good services at reasonable price in California.

Yes you can say you didnt join them . Again, of all the cases i have heard , people at POE hasnt created any issue for H4 Re-entry.please take a one time appt with any good immigration att. so that you dont have to worry

I had a quick question to add to this....
If one is on F1 and his/her spouse (who is on H1B and has filed for a Green Card) ends up with a current priority date, can the person on F1 file for the Green Card along with the spouse? Or does one have to be on H4 to ride along with the H1's COS?

Hello,
I am a new commer with no photography experience. I bought the D70 body with the sigma 28-80mm/3.5-5.6 and the 70-300mm/4-5.6 lens. when taking pics with the 28-80mm lens the pics seem to be alittle blurry and dark, and with the 70-300mm comes out alot clearer and slightly brighter. I am mostly taking pics of people in action, in the house (pics of kids while playing) where the lighting is alittle dim, but not dark. I am wondering if I need to get a new lenes with a better fstop or what to help my pics out??? I must include that I am not trying to use the flash because of the harsh lighting effect that it has. can anyone recommend what I should do to clear up my pics?

Of the 14 million Asians in the U.S., half of those over age 25 have at least a bachelor�s degree and 20% have a master�s degree or higher � the highest education level of any racial group.
Median family income, at $57,500, also is the highest, with half of Asian Indians earning $69,000 or more. Asians owned 1.1 million owned businesses in 2004, up 24% since 1997, the Census Bureau fact sheet said.
High tech executives have been lobbying heavily for an increase in the visa cap for high-skill workers, a majority of whom are Asians. All four versions of the immigration bill now before the Senate would double the number of so-called H1B temporary visas to 115,000 and also double the number of employment-based green cards to 290,000. Exemptions from those limits for students currently working on science and technology degrees in the U.S. � most of whom also are Asian � would increase high-skilled immigration still further if any of the bills becomes law.

I'm in the process of convincing my FinAid rep that I am eligible with only EAD/I-485 pending/A# (no I-94 w/parolee stamp). It worked for a secondary verification for my mortgage guaranteed by USDA (Agriculture Dept.). They use the same USCIS SAVE system for verification. The truth is no one knows how to do this. My FinAid rep admitted to never having to do this. What happens when they institute a secondary check thru SAVE is it only says EAD valid, so all it does is verify your status, but does not actually notify the agency that you are eligible for any benefits - it says so in the system rules/regs. But USDA thought that was the green light to approve me for benefits, so now I'm eligible for no down payment/low-interest mortgage. I'm trying to pull the same stunt with college. They said they will consult Dept. of Ed, so that may not work. But you need to sound convincing and not fall for their ignorant BS, until they have it clearly figured out and ask you for an I-94 w/parolee stamp valid for more that a year. Truth is, none of us will ever get a stamp valid for more that a year, since AP is given in 1 year increments. But FinAid reps almost always fall for near-1-year validity of the stamp and cave to your pressure. So keep working at it until you get what you want. That'/s what I intend to do. Once you are approved w/documentation for first year, you never have to go thru the exercise again with that school, since the school ultimately decides whether you are qualified. Good luck, and I'll post my progress.

I could have written this! I too am flummoxed by seeing this on my e-filed AP application. I think its pre-decision activity but I could be wrong. Anyone?

Is this stage generally expected for renewal of AP? I am not sure why the online message says "request for appointment reschedule" although my application is to renew AP.
Did any one go through this process before? pls share your experience.
