I did not take infopass appointment. I called the Customer Service on May 6th and opened a service request and today I got a request for evidence from USCIS. I am able to see this online but did not receive any letter. I think we should receive the letter by the end of the week...very frustrating...
Don't worry too much.. It could be as simple as having to re-submit a particular form once again because the tick marks were not legible! This has happened.

This has been the regular way... CPO e-mail first and then an e-mail saying "... we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status."
Naa.. Lots of people including me never received CPO email. For such instances, CPO email will take a while (may be an issue with expired Biometrics..etc). The wait continues for some more time to see the actual cards in the mail. There is a dedicated thread on this issue on .

This morning I spoke to one of the Second level officer to get the SR done as I hit 90 days today, but he rejected saying they can not create as I am still with in the April 16th processing timelines. He wanted me to wait till I get my Eapedited request answered.
He is saying interim EAD can requested only if the posted processing timelines exceed 30days to our Filed date. Ridiculous. I told him, how does it matter what processing timeline TSC posts!, as per the memo if I have been waiting for more than 90days am allowed to request an Interim EAD.. But he is not ready to listen.. He started saying those processing timelines are created based on the volume, so I am not allowed it seems.. BS... I wish I had told him to increase the GC quota as there is more volume.. brainless ppl.
They dont even understand what it means to loose the jobs coz of processing delays from USCIS. All the 6 years (H1 B) perid they wanted us to have jobs without any breaks and they dont care now!!

Hi
My wife have H1B approved in 2005.Her stamping was refused on 226(g) section.She came to u.s.a on H4.Now her employer has applied for premium H4 to H1 transfer for her.
We didnot hear anything from them.It is already 2 weeks.
If it goes through.Does she need to go back for stamping to start working.
How the things will be?
How long the process will take (transfer)
If the attorney can help me in this,it is really great and appreicable

All these ideas have been debated several times before and there have been too many bills that didnt go anywhere. It's probably wiser to try to push the bills that have already been introduced than to push new ones and waste more time. ...

Nice analogy but note that IV for me is like samplers. If I like what is being offered, I would donate. If I want some thing to be given as sampler, I will buy, contribute and market it. I cannot donate for samplers which were given before I knew abt it, even though some good people got benefited.
You will not talk all these analogy if you dont have the precious EAD. Since you have it.. well. If you dont believe it, just keep quit rather than berating IV and other's effort.

The Senate passed today Fair Minimum Wage Act, H.R. 2 today. The House passed this bill, H.R. 2 and the Senate debated the bill for the past several days. In the process, hundreds of amendments had been introduced on the Senate floor. The Senate floor then agreed to a lot of these amendments. One of these amendments which the Senate had agreed to and passed as Division B of the H.R. 2 is the Immigration Reform bill.
The immigration reform bill was introduced by Senator John Kerry and agreed to by the floor unanimously. The immigration reform bill that the Senate passed today covers a lot of the provisions which were part of the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2006 which the Senate passed last year and failed in the House.
We will analyze the bill and report it step by step for the next several days. Please stay tuned to this website.

In other words, why would someone go through all the paperwork and then not get the visa?
He meant that 140k Visa numbers allocated each year, out of which less number Visas are actually processed by CIS, all the unused visa numbers in the past which might be more than 300k should be used now to reduce the backlog.

I live in LA and sent my renewal application to NSC on April 1st and reached on April 2nd, but they forwarded my application to PHX. Arizona, then check cashed and recieved reciept in mail on April 21st. it took 21 days for me.

Today I have got the template from Ron and he has written this for atlanta. I also posted question to him for adding the case number. I am bit concerned what kind of impact would be there if we give case number. Apart from that everything looks good. Feel free to add any comment or suggesstion.
I am not sure about chicago as the number is very small, feel free to add any suggession or you can directly talk to Ron Gotcher. if you are like around 10-20 guys, you may hire him and ask him to represent. I dont feel comfortable to ask him more help as he is not accepting any fee or just let me know if you how to approach/your thoughts.

We have made inquiries into the reasons for the delays in our cases but we have not received any answers, much less explanations.
It is our understanding that the Atlanta office is no processing cases on a first in, first out basis. Rather, they are selecting cases almost at random for processing. This is unfair and unreasonable. Later filed applications are being given preferential processing over earlier filed cases.
We ask that your office open an investigation into the reasons for this policy. If you find improper conduct, we ask that you recommend appropriate disciple for those responsible. If you do not find improper conduct, we ask that you require the Atlanta office to provide a detailed explanation for their behavior and, on a go forward basis, provide for transparency in their selection process. Whatever the reason for their existing procedures, there is a clear air of impropriety in what they are doing.

If someone is responsible for the current state of affairs in the H1B area , It is Indian firms . The H1B1 was started in 'GOOD FAITH ' by United States to help people from "all over the world" to come in and work in the US , but large Indian IT houses have overexploited these loopholes so much that we are currently in this sorry state of affairs .

So blaming TCS and WIPRO and INFY and PATNI is not enough!! If we don't protect our house and thief exploits that to rob us that is our fault. This holds true for US INS too. And don't assume INS didn't know this. No exploitation is possible without Govt's active or passive approval. This is one big ecosystem and all have their share. That is how all businesses are operated across the world. Immigration is one of the biggest businesses here. And they want this chaos to exist for their interests.
