Can someone please create a poll for ROW RDs. It should be monthly banded

there is nothing to sensationalise or freaking out . if you see the subsequent post and reading all relevant materials , you will understand that few are trying to keep CIR alive while many want it to be killed. Since i keep scourging to see if any new is available about the conference and have not seen the house clerk reporting the reciept of the CIR, i was just asking a question to find out if anyone had any news reading sobers post on blue slip, is some news......

God bless everyone still in this situation. My son turns 21 in October and we too were faced with this threat. Thankfully we got our I-485 submitted in June and he even received a letter from USCIS directly to him confirming he is now locked in under CSPA protections (which we already knew, but was very nice anyway).
Our attorney had pointed to the potential in the DREAM Act proposals that keep resurfacing . Although primarily drafted to assist illegal children brough here by their parents, the provisions would also apply to children brought here in H4 who aged out. All the other conditions would have to apply, but we had intended to convert our son this fall to F1 and then hope that Dream Act would pass sometime in the next 2 years to save him before he turned 25.
Another angle for those of you trying to seek protection to explore with legislators as there is very broad support for DREAM but it keeps getting caught up in comprehensive reform agenda.
Good luck to all of you still trapped in this dilema, I share your pain and sympathize with the stress this places on you and more improtantly on your kids.

hey all,
Dont spend money unnecessarily for Tatkal...I applied of rmy passport renewal through post and it reached Houston on Febraury 22, 2010. I goy back my new and cancelled passports on March 4 through FEDEX. It was just 10 days....Also my friend got back in 10 days,,Unless, there is something pending from you, The consulate will not delay..there may be a few typical cases why the passport is delayed...
Also, I have the US address in my passport.

My wife and I went for the medical examination 1.5 years ago, when we thought we'll be eligible to file shortly. We still have those sealed envelopes. However, the time passed and I understand we need to undergo the exam again for our June filing, correct?
The first time around my wife had a positive skin test (immunized in childhood) and negative Xray. Back then she was advised to never do the skin test again, as it'll always be positive. So, she'll need to go for an Xray this time. However, she is pregnant, and they don't Xray pregnant women... Is she an exempt then? There gotta be a provision for something like this, right?

They said they would mention the same in 693 document that the test were not done because she is nursing a baby. But this doesnt mean that she is exempted from immunizations and TB test. She would need to come back and do the immunization after 3 months and the doctor would keep a record of it and INS would varify it later with doctor about the test results.

I got 3-year H-1B extension till 09/2010 based on approved I-140 from current employer. Similarly, my wife's H4 status is approved till 09/2010. My wife filed for a new H-1B and her change of status from H-4 to H-1B is still pending (she has a receipt number and got selected in the lottery). Assuming her H-1B approval comes through, the start date will be from 10/01/2007. So far good.
Now, I found a new job and the employer is willing to do the H-1B transfer. My wife's H4 needs extension too. What will happen if her H4 extension comes till 09/2010 with a pending H-1B? What will happen if her H-1B comes before H4 extn?
Is it possible to extend her H4 only till 09/30/2007?

Now that I have talked about so many people....let me tell you what I did to freak out Aman.....
Sunday afternoon, Aman asked me to take out about 5,000 printouts of our documents and put them in 120 folders for the meetings on Monday. I started doing it but the printer was painfully slow. After a while, I figured it will take me hours to do it and I was getting restless because I go to gym daily and I had not worked- out that day. I decided to run upstairs to the fitness centre and get done with it.
I came back in about 1.5 hrs., and there was a big chaos - so many printouts flying around!! Aman looked tensed. Anyways, I worked 5 hrs straight and with the help of great volunteers there I was able to get all those 120 folders ready for the monday morning.
So much so for my Obsessive Compulsive Behaviour! Needless to say, I didnot work-out the other 2 days....didn't want people to know I am crazy :)

Now EB2 is also stucked at2003 Jan.
It took 11 months to move 8 days. When Eb3 get into retrogressionevery one started filing in EB2. I think if nothing comes relief like SKIL \ CIR better to stay wit EB3 - Mar 2004.
I think with in one year EB2 and EB3 wil get same priority dates.
It is upto you.

So, from what I read in this thread:
* EB2 (India/China) may not have MANY cases with PD earlier than 2005 as only after retrogression (in 2005), EB2 started piling up.
* Most 2001/2002 EB3 cases are approved (in June/July/August 2007) and they may be still receiving approvals off numbers reserved for them in June/July 2007. Hence, the natural movement for EB3 to 2003 in the near future.
* If most of the EB3 cases filed in June/Juy are not processed by USCIS by next June (2008), then PD may become current during the last quarter of FY 2008 (or atleast to end of 2006). If enough cases are approved (and pending for VISA numbers), then it may move only to 2004 or early 2005.
* EB2 - same logic as above - it may become current or move to early 2006.
Makes sense?
