If you are offended, I don't give a DAMN!! I know about India very well and has been to India many a times. I know very well about the indian corruption which has no comparison with any country in the developed world. All you have to look at is the suveys from various NGOs that track corruptiy on at various countries in the world and you can see where India ranks relative to US or UK

You are right congressional inquiries are being treated as normal inquiries and they are given standard responses and I have bought this to the notice of my congresssman's office....
I too have the same feeling of Govt's healthcare plan....it'd fail just like SS and Medicare.....

I received the same thing. A canned reply asking to use their phone lines for inquiries. They returned my original envelope as well as my letter :rolleyes:

Why don't you use direct flights to India. There is Continental from NY & American from Chicago to Delhi everyday. If you directly book from their websites, the prices are quite reasonable. At least American I know also serves Asian Vegetarian (meant for Indian veggies) food.
Well the problem is there are very few airlines flying direct and everyone is going for it. You cannot get those tickets and even if you will, it will be expensive. I just recently gone through this pain.

It could also be that they are confusing your EAD with EADs used mostly by students on OPT which leads to H1B to Greencard sponsorship.

Guys,
I have heard from friends that if after 90 days of applying you don't receive an EAD card, you can walk into a local USCIS office and they will issue you an EAD. Is this still true? If yes, what documentation do I need to take with me? Its been 2 months since I applied. Anybody know how long it is taking from NSC?

When did you realize the L1 Fraud? The day you were hired or the day you were fired?
There was story of a man who used to beat his wife after coming back from work. Apparently he was frustrated with his boss and his wife was the victim of his frustration. He soon realized a remedy to his situation. He built an effigy of his boss and hid it in a safe & lonely place. Everyday after work he used to go there and beat and curse the shit out of that effigy. He could then return to his normal family life and continue to love his wife.
You remind me of that guy. This forum is your safe place and all the dumb IV members responding to you are your effigies. I am a part of this dumb group so go ahead and throw some of that leftover shit on me.

Service records indicate that your application is pending and waiting assignment to an officer. You will be notified when a decision has been made or if additional information is needed. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 60 days from the date of this letter, please contact customer service to complete another service request

Hi pakrish, similar situation here. My wife's gc has the gender mentioned incorrectly. From what I've researched, we need to file for I-90 and choose option D - correction in green card. There are no fees required as it's a USCIS mistake but the original card needs to be sent with the form.

Why do you even need a GC, my friend. Stick with H1B visa. the only difference between GC and H1 is independence of employer and why do you even bother about it. You can always get a job where you want, buy a house now, sell it tomorrow, then after 6 years, go out for a year, come back on new H1.
As I said, people here are highly motivated and do want to follow the rules and achieve bigger things in lives, creating value in the process. But not many are willing to wait for 5 more precious years, after your greencard takes 10 years. Or 15 years on GC and 5 years for Citizenship. Once you work very hard, then you tend to ask for the right fruit, not just take anything.And whatever the Citizenship requirements are.. they will be met while waiting for theis damn GC..
I am just hitting at the attitude.. not person.. sorry...
Assume your school makes your 4 year course extended to 6 years and in the process makes you do a lot more..What do you ask at the end of it. 4 year degree or a 4+2 year degree.. .something similar..

This is so ridiculous....these OH Law Firm lawyers have to be kidding! Who postpones/suspends work based on rumors? I would get fired from my job if I stopped coding just because there was a rumor that the release date was being postponed!!!!

After 5 years of waiting, my Labor got finally aproved thru Dallas BEC(EB3, RIR, PD: Oct'02). But my wife is in India on vacation and as per original plan will return middle of August.
1. What are my options so I can take advantage of the PD being current for me?
2. can I apply for I-140 and I-485 and then apply her I-485 when she returns?
