I do not think any of you who is beating him down like this has any right in doing so. I bet that each and every one of you have done more mistakes than Mr.Sahaayam did. You just were never caught. My daughter has received her new US passport. Her Indian visa is in her old passport. I understand she can carry both passports with her to India and does not need a new visa. Am I right? Thanks.

I tried the following a couple of days ago.
i got a letter from my company about my status and issue with retrogression, I took a printout of the webfax from the IV site and sent a certified mail to our state senators (i am from CA). I think this is better than a web fax, i am not sure if they even read the web fax. I havent received a response from them as yet, but i am sure i will. Others can try it too and see if they get a response.
I did this because a senior manager from my company got fed up with his visa process and returned to Canada last month. He was ROW EB3 when he started his process.

IV is not just IV core but each and every member. each member should try to do something positive in order to help IV in whatever way theycan. - contributing money, help increase members, contact their local lawmakers and also contacting media. we need to raise awareness andevery small positive action done by an iv member helps in the overall scheme of things.

Btw, if the visa bulletin is not out yet, its a good omen. Over the years it has been observed that whenever visa bulletin comes out a bit late, like between 13-15 of a month, it moves the dates quite a bit forward. The bulletins that come out early in the month, like before 10th day of the month, truly sucks.

Health Care professionals have greater lobby power and resource and are backed by their Industry as well. Well, this does not translate directly into any benefit for EB3, but might help few nurse get off the queue. But demand in this sector is also high.

Trust me my friend, I have seen it happen all the time, from large Telecom firm to Govt., its always there, most of the consultants just doesn't come to know about it, but the cut for the managers is there in some form, almost always. Why do each manager has a specific vendor through whom they want to hire most of the time? What else is the reason for the client to pay the consulting company $180/hr but they won't give 'valueablehurdle' anything more than $50-60/hr?
On a different note, now that NSG approved the waiver, most desi uncles, some of them are also owners of desi consulting companies will claim that they are the father of Nuclear deal. These bastards (sorry for my french) always oppose any GC fix and they tell their favorite congressman/senator (each has atleast one favorite politician for whom they do fund raisers) that gc backlog is not an important issue for the community. India Abroad, Times of India, rediff and other desi portals/newspapers will write 'Oliver North' style stories about these desi uncles knowing well that companies like GE etc put their weight behind the deal as it will create commerce to commerce over $20 billion/yr. But desi uncles/orgs will not stop claiming to be the father of nuclear deal. The fact is, most of these desi uncles made noise not because they wanted to do something for their country of birth, they are doing it because they think that if the nuclear deal passes, they can play middle man for US companies to sell the technology/material to Indian companies/govt. Most of the so called 'united voice of Indian-Americans on the Hill' organization's goal is to make big bucks by playing 'middle man' for companies wanting to sell technology to India. And as always, just as 'valuablehurdle''s client (paying $180/hr) Indian govt. will pay double the cost. These desi companies have squeezed blood of people waiting for gc, but now they think its time to move on to play big game with the big boys. These desi uncles/orgs are going nuclear.... time for Rediff and India Abroad to play Oliver North. Sometimes the line between capitalism and cycle of corruption is extremely blur. The problem is, these desi uncles/orgs claim to be representatives of entire Indian-American community, sometimes the entire immigrant community. They don't know more than 100 people, but they claim to be the leaders of all 2.5 million indian americans. Check ICICI. I think it is called a NRE account. You can fund it in Dollars and Rupees and it could be repatriated in Dollars. So just open the account and have them deposit the monies India, you can draw it here. This kind of account is for NRI's who earn an income in India and want to access it here.
There is a limit I think but it must be like $25K..

As per 2006 and 2007 CIR, only illegal immigrants get green card easy. Legals like us - it will become even more difficult. read the text of previous CIRs and new CIR will not be different. Below is the text, it clearly excludes legals from legalization. Hope I would have been daring enough to be illegal. Definately, illegals are the vote banks and they get all the attention.

AT JFK.
Submitted two copies of AP and passport. I had three copies from USCIS.
Went through US citizen/resident queue and the CBP officer took me to another verification counter.
There were only one other person (Russian). No questions asked. NONE. Verified address and very very informative and friendly CBP officer. Handed both AP with one of them stamped. I have all three copies of AP with me with one stamped.
He advised that every time I travel make sure there is no NOID on my case and my AP is current.

To best of my knowledge, at least one parent must have US citizenship to get OCI ( the rules were different earlier - may be 3-4 years back ).

My kid was in India for more than 6 months. We took him to the comissioner's office and registered him. You need to take a couple of passport photos, the PIO card, and the foreign passport. They will issue you a letter that states that the child is allowed to stay beyond six months. The letter that we got is valid for two years. We were told that if the child stays beyond the date of the validity date in the letter, then to come and get a new letter. The whole process took about two hours. BTW, this was in Hyderabad.

The only reason i feel this so called "family-bill" will not generate too much anti-immigrant sentiment is because it doesn't have the baggage of being termed the CIR bill.
The very mention of the word CIR stirs up strong responses and emotions from all parties involved.
This bill seems to tackle a smaller problem rather than going for a big bang solution that the CIR would attempt. That's why i felt it might have a better chance to succeed.

King will, as usual, will come up with alot of amendments again. By the way, they have to finish with the horse bill and then they will come to our bill and then they have to finish the nurse bill. All the bills along with the Mr.Kings amendements have to be done in 2hrs because it starts at 3PM and ends at 5PM.

Are there any implications of leaving my employer now who sponsored me for GC? I got my GC on the first week of July. I plan to leave on the 1st week of September. Thank you very much.
Addendum: I applied for AOS for my spouse this July. Will there be a problem with her AOS?
I am not sure if you GOT GC or you filed 485.
Based on AC21 law, you have to stay atleast 182 days after you file 485. More so if your I-140 is still pending.
So I would say 182 days from the receipt notice of 485 is mandatory to avoid complications. It should not affect your citizenship. I have 100s of friends who have invoked AC21 and quite frankly I dont care about citizenship. One thing at a time :)

I do not believe original employer was involved in any Fraud but he did have financial trouble ( paying salary after 2 months , check bounce etc - that is the main reason I left) .
That company is MSU software based in Iowa ( just in case if anyone knows about it ) .
I tried several times approaching USCIS as well as Congressman's office to find the details of delay / extended review status etc but all I got was we need to wait until the review is complete.
I had switched attorney as soon as I joined company B and they AC21 and I have copy of the all the docs including the letter requesting to remove the old company A attorney . Also last my company B changed the attorney firm to a different one and they did sent a new G28 for that .
I am kind of stressed until I see the letter which is going to be delayed because of the snow Storm :( .
I have sent the email to info@immigrationvoice.com just now.
